What a week!

It sure doesn't feel like I had Monday off! Work has been hectic with down tools and a ton of data to analyze. I didn't get home until after 7pm tonight. Now I've got to get ready for tomorrow's first group ride! Here's hoping the weather cooperates!

Now a training report:

Tuesday- track practice with the run/walk team was fantastic! How can a track workout be fantastic you ask? First, it was with a great group of our TNT run/walk and tri folks. Second, I must explain that I have a love-hate relationship with the track. The hate comes in the actual running of intervals, the love is when it is all over and recovery is done. It's a great feeling to know I've run hard and survived the effort. (at least until the next day when the soreness kicks in!) The workout consisted of a posture lession by Coach Mitch and then a "best effort" mile for pacing info. Then we did some 800m intervals with a 400 recovery. I did some of those easy and chatted with the team, then ran the last one pretty hard. So a fantastic workout!

Wednesday - easy swim (1100yd or so) in the morning and easy spin at lunch (40 min)
Thursday - short strength training/core at lunch
Friday - easy swim (1200yd) in the morning

Tomorrow - early run with the run/walk and then short bike with the tri folks.
